Your Performance

Your band will be playing in front of an Industry professional from Headbang for the Highway.

Your band is competing for a regional time slot on Summer Slaughter. Bands will be responsible for their own travel and expenses on all the shows including to and from their regionally awarded date.

Where will your band perform should you be chosen as the winnerThe winning band will be placed on a regional date, that does not mean the exact city you showcased in, but the one that makes the most sense for the tours regionally

When your band will be given info on the Summer Slaughter date

Bands that showcase on Headbang for the Highway and are chosen to perform on one of these tours in 2018 will be given info shortly after completions of all showcases which end in mid June. Some bands will be given info prior to that.●

Your band should play no more than 4 songs and should limit sets to 15 minutes (unless otherwise noted) .

As this is a showcase, this will be strictly enforced and your band should be prepared to bring their”A” game and play nothing but your best 4 songs.

To enter, your band must be unsigned. Play with passion, confidence and perform with conviction.

Judging is based on song writing, originality, professionalism, stage presence and tightness of playing. The winner is ultimately based on talent and perceived potential. However, we strongly believe bands should be getting as manyfans and friends out as possible to support them. Headbang for the Highway gives out honest, yet constructivecriticism.

Judge (s) will speak with each band individually after their set to give constructive, but honest criticism to help in furthering the development of the band.

Bands should be ready to talk to the industry professionals judging the showcase as soon as they are done performing their set and should not walk off stage to go hang with friends etc. as this will cut into their interview time. The moment your set is over the clock starts, so remove your gear and exit the stage promptly. Once the next band begins playing the interview will come to completion.

Keep in mind Headbang for the Highway andAlumni Tours and Fests are an open window for you to receive reach out to with questions which will be pointed out during your interview process.
